What this is
Where Think Shift builds its own tools.
Think Shift Labs is where our team builds and tests new tools using artificial intelligence, in a safe and secure space, before anyone relies on them for real work. Some tools start as one person’s idea. Others were already built by someone here for their own work, and the Lab makes them safe to share with everyone.
We use what we build. Testing our own tools on our own work is how we know what holds up, and it is how the whole agency gets better at this together, not just a few people.

An idea, written down. One page: the problem, who feels it, why now.

The idea earns a plan: what we will build and the number that will tell us it worked.

Prototype
A rough working version, built fast, shown live.

Pilot
Real people use it on real work, measured against the baseline.

Beta
Hardened, reviewed for security and data handling, nearly ready.

Graduated
Finished and adopted. The tool leaves the Lab and joins the everyday stack.
Between the stages sit gates: defined tests a project passes live, with a named signer. The full standard for each gate is inside the Lab.
